Blue Heron Timber Works, LLC is a timber frame company based in, Tennessee, conveniently located near Knoxville. We offer our customers: Full and partial timber frames, timber trusses, architectural timbers, commercial and residential timber trusses, timber frame home accents, architectural and timber frame accent pieces. At Blue Heron Timber Works, we specialize in building quality timber frame homes, we also provide heavy timbers to commercial and residential builders, always providing quality woodworking and timber framing skills. We work closely with builders and contractors to insure each project comes out as unique as our customers.
We do not have "packaged" homes. We are of the opinion that a timber frame home can only be a personal decision based upon introspection and identity. Working closely with a designer we achieve an original look, feel and idea each time. We do not design a home and market it. Each
timber frame project has special features brought on by the owners.
Timber frame homes appeal to people who do not wish to stand in the main stream, but prefer to define their own environment. Each owner helps make this environment. At Blue Heron Timber Works LLC, we honor this perspective and serve it with our craftsmanship.
We work in Oak, White pine, Douglas fir, Cypress, or any other wood of your choice that defines your space, using time tested timber framing techniques.
We are also a distributor for Structural Insulated Panels (SIPS) . SIPs can be used to complete your timber frame enclosure and ensure a more energy efficient insulation factor. By using SIP's, your home's enclosure is comfortable, energy-efficient, strong, and quiet - the traits that most of our customers desire as key unobtrusive elements, and allow the maximum frame exposure, also important to our customers.
